Hello everyone,
I painted up a new figure this week. This time it’s a Spartan CQC, the next member in my custom fireteam: fireteam Alpaca.
This time I used the CQC Spartan from the series 2 blind bags, since the custom fireteam is based off of series 2. I used inspiration from the last figure and how the spartan looks in game to get all the details.
He was really fun to paint… until I got to the lower legs. Then it became a nightmare, I had no idea what to do for the legs which made it hard to actually paint. It also became really messy Because of it. After scrapping and repainting I got to a point that I liked.
The figure took over 12 hours to paint and used 90% of my paints.
I also built a custom base for the figure, just like I did for the last one. This time I wanted to make an industrial area that the Spartan was making his way through. It was interesting creating the base, I learned a few techniques along the way.
