Chapter 5: Present
Some time later I retired from the program and dedicated myself to working alone or in groups that the UNSC would send me. I got to be on about 12 missions, the current one focuses on my home er, which the Covenant destroyed again.
But this time we did what in Reach we could not, when they came here, we destroyed them ... but there was a great cost, we lost many brothers and sisters those days just like in Reach ... Which I wouldn’t call this much as a huge victory… We had to leave too since there wasn’t much left after the war…
Now the Covenant is almost a myth in these lands but a new threat has arrived, the Banished. Which I like the new colour but they are still a bit more lethal and they have taken it upon themselves to destroy what remains of the Covenant on this planet. I feel like they want to colonize it and use it as a base for their leaders like that Brute called Skoda.
On that mission they told me that I would not be alone, I would have someone who has been trapped for 1 year in Imber after the Covenant invasion. And curiously, he is Muto, someone I have been curious to know since I heard about his fight against ONI.
He has been alone all that year with his AI Gipsy hidden from the Banished radars with a badly damaged armor which I do not know how he continues to fight if he does not have shields.
I am surprised that he has been brave enough to stay here alone. They told me that they managed to contact him and that he would give me support tomorrow in stealing info from a Banished camp. I'll also give him a little help and maybe a little company ... I feel like he needs it.
