Any Tips on making custom armor?

Do you guys have any tips for making custom armor hand made without cutting parts off of other figures? Use clay? Tools I'm going to need? Tell me everything. I seek the wisdom of the custom gods.

@kirrily_agus apoxie is expensive yes but you get 2 times what it looks like.

My methods are far from ideal, so all Imm gonna say is don’t customize a valuable figure. You’ll regret it later.

@81Ceta_Deta, I do. Shapie. Where my customs end and most customs dare not visit. If you mess up, well that’s the end of it.

I just use sharpie. Honestly, I'm not sure how many others use sharpie

Breadclips. I’m not kidding. Most of my customs are done with chopped up bread clips. They are easy to shape. Take to glue well you can paint them. Go look at my gallery. Just about every figure I did was with them. 👍🏼

I’m pretty new to this but Ave’s Apoxy is good but you will need disposable gloves.
