Love it cause the Elite is wearing the rare, hard to find armor from Halo Reach.
And the color is finally not purple.

Although the weapons were sort of a bust I found that I could dual weild the plasma rifle and pistol with others and I use the pod for all of my grunts and jackles.

also at first I igored it since the pod looked like a football.

i just got this set and my favorite part is the fig the new color for the pod is perfect for the general 2 overall this is my 3rd favorite set behind the covenant AA gun and the brute chief set with the chopper my favorite weapon out of the needler and the rifle has got to be the rifle it has a very different look to it now the needler has much more detailing in it i dont think it would hurt if they added the same weapon the plasma launcher (as seen in the average drop pod set with the white combat elite) overall this set out of 1 to 10 i give it a 8

The new drop pod elite general is really cool set. The new crimson pod is the same shape as the old ones which is good but, I was hoping for a sleeker shape, such as the one found in halo 4.

I honestly threw away the pod. I wanted the fig, not the pod. As far as I know this is thee only set with a general. He looks a little dumb, but he is a nice edition. The needler is red and the rifle is thinner, shorter, and blue. All in all, not to shabby

I've gushed at length about Covenant weapons being molded in camo purple rather than flat purple throughout my reviews of the Spring 2013 sets, but I never thought the same assortment would up and do itself one better. This drop pod set does just that, giving a camo-purple Plasma Rifle and Plasma Launcher even further dazzle with key paint apps for better game accuracy - I think this Plasma Rifle may in fact be the most screen-accurate one yet, and will remain that way until Mega can budget to use a faded cobalt plastic/paint exclusively for Plasma Rifles and Pistols.

Of course, purple isn't the only big thing about this set by a long shot - the centerpiece naturally remains the big camo wine Drop Pod, with the Needler interestingly molded in the same sheen for a Halo 3-accurate tint. And of course, all this materiel would be nothing without the White Elite General to command it. He's the second use of this new Elite mold, and a good alternative or supplement to the first (the Gold General from Covenant Seraph).
