Happy Tuesday Spartans! Hope your having a good day, cause I got a new figure today! Custom Mark VB ODST Spartan commission for @jazz__god!
This guy was fun to paint, for a few reasons. Got to use a paint more heavily than I usually do, I normally just use it for visors. But this time it was the secondary color on this dude. The metallic paint, while stubborn thinning, worked well to make a really nice contrast to the black. Alongside the paint, this guy was only 2 colors which made for a quick paint job. Which means now I can work on my backlog, being my last commission! I got to use a lot of 3d printed parts on him, and even something I printed myself. The ODST helmet is from @ls3d_printing as usual, I swear I haven’t painted a stock figure in a while. The waist (which I forgot to include in the photo…) and hardcase utility is from @dougie_d73! Last but not least is the mark Vb prosthetic from halo infinite, designed/modeled by @syi_custom! He helped me out a ton in making this, I was able to print it out myself and paint it up. He also made the sidekick I painted up. This figure would not be as good as it is without his stuff. The left arm is also sculpted from the tacpad to the default arm. I got a request to freehand the ODST symbol onto the chest, and it came out a lot better then I thought it would! Had fun painting it, luckily it was pretty simple. But that was pretty much the hardest part of this entire figure.
So happy I’m finally done with all my commissions and can get started on my personal ones. I have a ton coming up so stay tuned
