Hello everyone, AVG here. I definitely am not missing out on the Destiny contest so here is my entry! This is a fairly heavily edited photo, and I'm happy with how it came out. Anyway, here's some story behind the post!
The Phalanx stopped. Gunfire in the distance. A shrill whine followed by a rather large explosion confirmed his worst suspicions: Lightbearers. He barked out to the two Psions under his command and waved his slug rifle in the direction of the conflict. He would most likely die, but the blazing sands of Mercury were as much of a tomb alone. The wind whipped around him, and he was thankful for his heavy armor. His squad had never run into the immortal monsters, but legend of their lethal exploits spread quickly around Sol. All of a sudden his thoughts were interrupted by a bright orange object coming slowly into view through the dust storm. The Phalanx felt the atmosphere ripple around him and the flaming Lightbearer began to spin quicker than the barrels on a colossus' gun. A noise unlike any other blasted through the air sending dust flying as a shockwave blew a clearing 25 meters around. The Phalanx barely heard his Psions firing, and a calm sense of peaceful finality swept over him as a hail of flaming blades flew from the Lightbearer's hands. The last thing he saw was his fellow Cabal being disintegrated into nothingness, and becoming one with the wind. He looked down and, as the blades sunk in, knew no more.
