The loud music blared throughout the Pelican as it flew over the glasslands of what was once the city of Voi. The charred expanses of land stretched on as far as the eye could see, and the smell coming through the Pelican's vents were enough to make anyone stay away.
Lance Corporal Finbar was the first to speak on the long ride. "Hey Sarge! Why we coming all the way out here? Hate to break it to the Higher-Ups in Section Three, but there's NOTHING TO SEE."
Sargent Anderson sighed. "Listen Finny, those Higher-Ups you're talking trash about sign your paycheck, so the best you can do is keep your damn mouth in check!" He made a broad sweeping gesture, addressing every member of the squad. "I mean, are we not all under the loving embrace of Section Three?" The rest of the men chuckled, their Black Armor glinting under the Pelican's overhead lights.
The marksman of the group, a ginger woman nicknamed Scope spoke up. "Sir, what's our primary objective?"
Anderson nodded. "Good question. When It comes down to specifics, there isn't much. All I got in the briefing was that it's a TOP priority target, and we'll know it when we see it. Whatever this thing is, we were told to be careful, so keep on your toes."
The intercom crackled as the pilot began to speak from the cockpit. "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have arrived at our destination, WELCOME TO HELL!" The Pelican doors hissed and groaned as they began to open. Blinding sunlight poured into the cargo hold and sand whipped in the wind.
"Alright Helljumpers, move out!" Anderson cried. "GO! GO! GO!" The rest of the Agents poured out of the Dropship. Anderson grinned, and slipped on his helmet.
This was gonna be easy.
