I wanted a carrier to diversify my flood collection but didn't feel like spending hundreds of dollars on old sets to get official ones, so I just made my own. Originally a grunt, I removed the head and arms, sanded down the legs and feet, and built up a layer of hot glue to get the basic shape. Then it sat on my desk for a long time as I had a very limited supply of green stuff and didn't want to use it all on this figure. Since buying some apoxie sculpt, that's no longer an issue and I have much more material to work with. I got to sculpting, starting at the back and spine and then working around the front to make the vestigial remains of the head and shoulders. I made sure to preserve the waist and leg articulation. After a bit of trial and error to get the paint right and a quick black wash I can confidently say this figure is complete. Now let's hope it doesn't pop and throw a bunch of infection forms all over.
