Didn't like how clean the decals were, so I added some weathering. Watch out for the rest of my Marines to be revamped. I like small changes like this. I don't have to be outside to paint small changes. I tried making a Ripa 'Moramee figure and it didn't work out so well.
Some of my paint (especially the mirror silver that I want to use for Ripa's armor) needs direct sunlight to dry. My WIP Ripa 'Moramee is currently having it's applied paint stripped off for the second time in three days. Thankfully, I use a water soluble paint, so I don't have to mess with actual paint stripper. I'm about to just break down and buy an official Ripa figure.
All of my Halo 3 Marines (six of them) and all of my Halo 3 Pilots (two Hornet, one Pelican) have been revamped and finished. All of the Marines are more or less the same with minor changes. The Pilots, on the other hand, are all completely different. One Hornet Pilot is darker and gritter than the other (because the Official MCX visor print was a darker blue than normal) and the H3 Pelican Pilot is, well, a Pelican Pilot; and that figure has different armor.
Unlike the astounding Halo 3 Marine repaints from the likes of @WhoThCares and @YrkannesAbattoir, I decided to keep the basic MCX Metallic green as the armor color, which meant I had to color match more than I should have to paint parts on the figures, since I couldn't just paint over the whole thing.
After I show off all of the Marines separately, I will show off the whole group. I don't know if these nine ARE the whole group, though. Back while I was chronicling the massive fight (that Glibglub and Jerry cause when they accidentally shot down one of my Pelicans) that took place behind my house (I'm referring to the Retreat series), I heard the Radio Marine calling for backup.
My Halo 3 Marines might or might not have reinforcements on the way . . ..
