Not happy with the unit decal, but too lazy to change it.
I have two more riflemen to paint and then my squad of ten Halo 3 Marines is finished.
Also, I have been slowly painting away at the Riftward Annihilator. I decided to go full hog on the Lovecraftian Horror vibe that I was setting up for him, so I had to rework the entire figure today to allow for six more poseable tentacle arms with claws on the end. He now has ten arms. He is now roughly eighty percent cyanoacrylate too. I have decided on a color scheme of gloss black, black gold (not black, gold, or oil), regular gold, and red, with white for the lettering on his stuff.
Regardless of when I finish him, I'm not going to show him off until after I paint the rest of the 405th stuff. He is the big bad for the story, so it makes sense for him to be the literal and fictional "final boss." I have to work up my courage to attempt to paint the GUB Heavy Cobra inside where I can get the watery metallic gray paint on stuff (my carpet sweats nervously) and I have three warthogs (I think, I have all of the unpainted 405th stuff piled up on a shelf and I haven't looked at it since a little while after my surgery) a pile of terrain, and eight or nine figures to paint.
I also have quite a bit more to paint, including another 405th villain.
