Hey guys! This Wednesday I’m showcasing a new custom sculpted armor, one that I believe receives FAR too little recognition, from Halo 5: Spartan MK IV! The MK IV was the armor I used to main for the first couple years in Halo 5 and holds a lot of great memories for me! This armor is VERY similar to what is seen in Halo Wars 2 (coming soon...) however the differences are quite noticeable. To start out, I hand sculpted the entirety of the chest and back properly, also taking a swing at the codpiece to make it game accurate as well, which actually worked out great! I even made some small adjustments to the arms and thighs, though the real treat is the 3D MK IV helmet from @bthal_mantakree! Once the sculpts were dry, I repainted the entire armor in macragge blue, adding abbadon black for the secondary detailing and under suit. The stripes on the helmet and chest were done with grey seer, and I applied white lights all over the armor where necessary! The last paint apps were various corvus grey micro details like on the knee pads and back that you see in game. With the painting finished, all I needed was the metallic silver visor and a light black wash to finish this armor! Paired with the figure is a whispered truth, also from Halo 5! All in all, I am tremendously happy with this upgrade and super excited to make more. Perhaps some halo wars characters are in order?? Leave your thoughts below, Enjoy!
