About this project
You spoke, we listened. We have an update to share regarding the height of the Halo Infinite Marines! But first, some background.
When the Mega Construx Halo design team designed the Infinite Marines for 2020, our goal was to pack in as much customization as possible into the new figures. Using existing legs from our Micro-Action Figure parts bank allowed the possibility of adding straps, pouches, grenades and other small accessories to the Marines’ thighs. This increased playability but also meant that the Marines height was increased slightly and made them a bit taller than Spartans. To bring the Marines’ height back to ‘’normal’’ and keep the customization feature, new shorter upper legs molds would need to be produced.
Every year, the design team has a budget for new molds (or ‘’tooling’’). To make sure we offered as many new figures as possible in the line, we opted to release the new Spartan GUNGNIR and Spartan Recon Spartan helmets rather than new upper legs for the Marine in 2020.
Since we are always looking to improve our figures and all our toys, starting in 2021, all Marines will now include new shorter leg parts. These upper legs work just like their taller counterparts. They are compatible with all the same accessories as before and allow you customize your Marine for all kinds of missions. This update will be applied to all new Marines being produced for the 2021 sets as well as all new production of the 2020 sets.
So sound off Spartans! What do you think of the update?
