UZ had walked for what felt like miles. He had fought ceta, solved puzzles, and got a doughnut for a guy who looked like he had a squid for a face. His name was Xûr or something.
He was approaching a house in the ruins.
“I’d better call him and see how he’s doing.” Joe muttered to himself, then he saw UZ.
“Hey! Are you alright? I shouldn’t have left you alone. There were so many thing I hadn’t explained.” He said handing UZ a bandage. “Well I guess the only thing that matters is that you are safe! Come on, there is something I want to show you.” He led UZ into the house. “Here we are.” He said handing him a slice of pie. “I made this for you while you were gone. I’m a very skilled chef I do say so myself!”
UZ put the pie away for later.
“I have prepared a bedroom for you.” He added. ”It’s the first door down that hallway. You can check it out if you want.”
UZ headed towards the room. When he walked into the room the first thing he noticed was a bed. His little legs were killing him so he flopped down on the bed and fell fast asleep. A couple hours later he woke up and walked out to the living room where joe was sitting in a squishy armchair.
“Hey! You’re awake! You must have been tired.” He chuckled. “Was there something you wanted?”
UZ asked him when he could go back.
“B-but this is you home now. You cannot leave.” He stuttered.
He persisted. Asking him how to exit the ruins.
“I can’t let you do that.” Joe said firmly.
UZ was determined to get an answer and was pestering joe until he closed his book and stood up.
“I have something I need to do. Stay here.”
So, naturally, UZ followed him.
He was going down a flight of stairs in the house. He caught up to joe a little ways down the long hall.
“Down this hall is a door. The only way in or out of the ruins.... I’m going to destroy it.” He said solemnly. “Please go back upstairs.”
He kept following.
“You do not understand. He, King Nato, will kill you if you go out there.” He stated. “I’m doing what is best for you. Please stop following me.”
They finally reached a large door at the end of the hall.
“You want to leave so badly?” Joe huffed. “You are just like the others. Fine then. Prove yourself. Prove to me you are strong enough to survive.”
UZ’s heart sank, he did not want to fight his new friend. battle began.
