About this project
Diesel turned to face her rival. “Alright,” she said, “Let’s think. What do we know about this place?” Roebuck paused, then replied, “New Paso has become extremely temperate since the mutation. It’s blisteringly hot here, so we must not be in the city.” Diesel nodded, then sniffed the air, “It doesn’t smell like wet dog. It’s not the Post Human Union who took us.” Roebuck cocked an eyebrow, “It doesn’t smell like wet dog?” Diesel rolled her eyes, “Trust me. When you spend time with furry mutants 24/7, you know what they smell like.” Roebuck pondered on that, “Highwaymen?”
“Not enough resources to pull this off.”
“Is kidnapping us going to increase revenue?”
That left one option.
“Could it really be the SSR?”
Diesel shook her head, “They’ve been pretty inactive, mostly small raids every now and then.” Roebuck leaned forward, “Yeah, but what if this is their big move. I know I have been anticipating this since last year.” Diesel shook her head, “No. This is probably just some group of mercs that got a really big job.”
Just then, the cell door opened and a guard wearing a gas mask stepped in the doorway, “Dobroye utro comrades. Breakfast.” Diesel sighed. Roebuck was right.
