Hey guys! Today I'm showing off a special custom : studleyavocado's spartan recon!
I decided to start a mini-series where I make customs based on someone's cosplay and this is a good introduction to that said series.
After sculpting the head and chest attachments, I painted the entire figure in Trollslayer Orange and Warpstone Glow. I painted the visor in Retribution Armor. And I used other paints like Corvus Black, Flash Gitz Yellow, Corax White, Mephiston Red, Mechanicus Grey, and silver for the extra details.
Next, rather than pulling off the worn-out effect by using the silver drybrush technique, I decided to just paint the edges in silver.
Finally, I applied black wash over the figure.
When I checked out his photos, I usually see him holding a sniper rifle, so that's what this custom will be holding. Rather than a plain sniper rifle, I decided to paint up one with an Abbey Lime coating from Halo Infinite!
What do you guys think? I have one more spartan cosplay custom figure to show off and I'll be showing them off this Tuesday! It's a pretty dope custom, so you don't want to this that!
