Hey! I'll be taking over the Halo closer looks for the next few weeks as Kevin_MCX is on other projects for the time being. So let’s dive right in.
Behind the scenes: Army builders have always been a part of collecting Halo Micro Action Figures. This series has some good ones. We made sure to include a Marine, we know they are popular. On the bad guy side, an Elite Mercenary makes an appearance in classic Covenant purple. And new this year is the Grunt Assault clad in orange. All these figures are common in the box. When picking which micro-ship to add to the collection, the Mega design team zeroed in on the Pelican immediately. All the action from Halo Infinite’s second trailer took place on a Pelican and we wanted to commemorate that.
The Micro Action Figure collection is also a great opportunity to include special armor colors, off beat figures and others that don’t always make sense in a larger playset. In the past, this has meant transparent ‘’gummy’’ figures or unique armor colors. This time around, the Mega design team figured that a couple of transparent named characters would be fun to collect. Active Camo Master Chief and hologram Pilot make an appearance. Two Spartans, GUNGNIR and Mk VII, round out the collection.
