Guess I’m finally paying the price for evangelizing about the deals on the ShopGoodwill site. Last month I won a 28 Lb. lot of Mega Bloks that got bids from 6 different people in the last 45 seconds of the auction…although my wining bid was $70, I think I ended up getting my money’s worth. In addition to the POTC Mill Wheel Battle set that initially caught my eye, there was also a loading dock set and a nearly complete Black Pearl!
The bonus was a bunch of complete Halo vehicles and a ton of minifigs. After several weeks of putting these sets together using my library of old instruction manuals, I still ended up with a tub and a half of other spare bloks, nearly complete warthog and BTR sets, 4 sealed COD sets, a pile of weapons and lots of partial minifigs. I even ended up finding a fair number of the bloks I used for my scratch build of the UNSC Infinity…it may end up costing me in the future, but I still think you owe it to yourself to check out the ShopGoodwill site and bid smartly if you are looking for deals!
