When I was a kid, there were so many companies trying to ride the coattails of Mattel's Masters Of The Universe. One interesting one was Galoob, working with Filmation. Filmation actually made the MOTU cartoon for Mattel but had come out with their own cartoon, Blackstar, a year before the MOTU cartoon appeared. It did not last long, likely because of the MOTU cartoon that took its place in the sword and lasers realm. Galoob licensed the line a couple of years later and made some toys that were larger than MOTU figures but similarly articulated. Neptul, lord of the oceans, was one I had and really liked a lot. I had to have him in my MC-MOTU line. He's made head-to-toe from a Skeletor, with Neptul's head sculpted over Skeletor's trimmed down head. I sculpted the shoulder armor and made the cape from a grocery T-shirt bag. The shield is Teela's, painted to look a similar color to the original glow in the dark Neptul came with.
The second figure is Huk, from Sungold's Galaxy Warriors line. Sungold liked to 'borrow' from Frank Frazetta's fantasy art. This red headed warrior is one such borrowing. He's head-to-toe He-Man, with the cross cut off the harness, sculpted hair/beard, and sculpted helmet.
