(3 pics)
Today on Throwback Thursday I will show what was the old model of the Fuel Rod Cannons (Halo 2 and Halo 3 style) of Halo Mega Bloks.
This model was not so common seen but almost always came with details like the one you are seeing now.
They came to be in some of the best-known sets such as: Covenant Drop Pod (2011) and the Covenant Scarab (being the last set to come this weapon).
There were 2 variants, the yellow one (seen from 2011 to 2015) that always brought details and the violet version (possibly based on Halo CE) that was seen in Covenant Wraith (2012) and on the Rhino set (also from 2012) but unlike the first version, it came without details.
Something unique about this Mega Bloks weapon that made it different from others was that its ammunition cartridge was removable. A perfect model for stopmotions to animate the reload of the weapon.
(I forgot to take pictures of the weapon compared to the new one)
I hope you guys like this Throwback Thursday, if you have this weapon you can share your opinion that if you liked it or not. Have a good day or night and be safe at home.
