I never used to believe the aliens were evil.
They were slaves. Brainwashed. Indoctrinated. Ripped from their homeworlds, stripped of their culture, forced to fight for a faith that wasn’t their own.
But then I went to Antares Prime, and the Banished came. The things they did, the things they MADE… they’re evil. Pure evil. There’s no other word for what I saw… what I survived.
We were stuck in no-mans-land, dug in deep in a little building we’d found. A few dropships and patrols had already taken a swing at us, but we’d fought them off without too much trouble. We were waiting for nightfall, to make a run for friendly territory under the cover of dark… but as the sun sank and the shadows grew, another ship came. A Spirit, red and black and spiky. It was Banished, obviously, but not their usual fare. It was bigger, bulkier… more brutal somehow.
It didn’t open fire, despite its ample weaponry. It landed right in front of our base, and opened its side door. We readied our weapons, sights settled, but when we saw what was emerging from the ship, we all just… froze.
They were huge, twice the size of regular brutes, monsters of metal and muscle and malice. They were on us in seconds, jump-packs carrying them to our base before most of us had even opened fire… not that our rifles did any good against their shields.
And then the screaming started.
And then the screaming stopped.
They let me live. They wanted me to live. They wanted someone to tell their story. They told me. Our outpost wasn’t their mission. We weren't a priority target. We weren’t a threat. We weren’t even in their way. They just… decided to stop by. For sport. For fun. Because they could. Because they knew they'd win.
They are the Children Of Atriox.
And they're going to win this war.
