I have been working with this project since August 2020 and today I can officially present it to you (almost complete but does not affect much) the Covenant Stalker.
A little story about this deleted species from Halo 2:
"The Stalker is a concepted Covenant species seen in the Halo 2 Collector's Edition DVD. They attacked by sneaking up on their prey and tear it to pieces with their blade hands, similar to the Flood Stalker Form (I don't know about you but it reminds me of Dead Space Slashers)
While developing the Halo games, Bungie, 343 Industries and Ensemble Studios have had to cut some content, such as vehicles, gameplay, and story elements, from the final products. Much of this content has been confirmed by videos and commentary in special edition DVDs, interviews with developers, and released concept art "
Just in case, I only could do it with the only image that exists of the Stalker (been just 1) and the rest i had to be use my creativity since it was a drawing which my version may not be 100% faithful to the original Bungie design
I consider this project perhaps the one that most committed me to making and using a lot of my creativity to create its articulation, using pieces from Breakout beasts and Halo Hunter I managed to make this species that would have been interesting to see in Halo 2. So far it I also consider it as my favorite custom beast since I love to work on this, giving it not only colors but also history (there will be Biography soon).
The color of his skin and eyes was inspired by General Grevious from Star wars, with a menacing appearance and a story full of massacres he was the perfect inspiration to color the Stalker.
I didn't give it a Wash as I felt it was better to leave it that way, although at first I thought I would dry brush the armor but I won't do it for certain reasons.
Thought to show you guys since it's almost complete and i was going to put it on the diorama (only 2 pieces of arms missing to extend back arms but I need another Hunter). If you ask me if I would like to create a second Stalker , I really would if I had everything I need.
I hope you guys like this project and have been working for months and be safe at home.
