Hog Wild! Which is YOUR favorite?

At some point in the past decade, every official Warthog set Mega has made to date has passed through my hands. I haven't kept them though all as I'm a realism and detail guy. Some of those early sets like the v1 olive Warthog and the olive Troop Hog did not enjoy the same wide selection of part shapes which later Warthog models benefited from. So when compared to later Warthog sets the hood design was wrong. When newer more realistic looking models came along, out went the originals. Then there were other sets like the red (Target exclusive) Troop Hog where I couldn't wrap my head around the (multi-player) color palette. However Mega has managed to get their Warthog models right much more often than not, and sometimes spectacularly so.

The pictured mixture of stock and customized Warthog variants are all those that made the cut so to speak. Some were bought in bulk and modified to create other in-game variants simply because they were perfect base models. Others like the yellow Security 'Hog and blue Target exclusive Rocket 'Hog didn't make sense to me in their stock forms so I remade 'em to suit my sensibilities.

My absolute most favorite stock 'Hog model to date is the dark green camo Rocket 'Hog which came with the Covenant AA Gun. This one pressed all my buttons- Correct color, accurate shape, great detailing, and sourced from the Bungie era of the game. I accumulated a lot of these and used them to create the canonically correct personal Warthogs of Sgt John Forge, Sgt Avery Johnson, and Sr Chief Franklin Mendez along with a stripped down Scout 'Hog and a pair of Halo 3 Troop Hogs. BTW look closely at my pics and you'll spot Sgt,s Forge and Johnson, along with Chief Mendez riding shotgun in their respective 'Hogs (Thanks to Yrkane for the awesome custom figs!)
